By the way, one thing I forgot to mention in the episode is that it is frustrating to see people who are saying plot holes have been corrected by the Extended Cut (e.g., Africa, Capitol, Lex). But if some additional footage “corrects” the plot hole, it was not actually a plot hole in the first place, it was just something that wasn’t explicitly shown and that was there to be inferred or filled in by the audience. A plot hole is a logical inconsistency in events or a character acting in an illogical manner, NOT an event that is complicated or confusing or a character acting based on implicit motivations. The extended cut did take some things that were implied or left unexplained and show you more fully what was happening, but that doesn’t not mean they were illogical to begin with, in fact, it means just the opposite -- if they were actually illogical or impossible, there is not little bit of extra footage that could be inserted to remedy, and certainly not footage that already existed rather than some contrived footage created after the fact that would be needed to try to remedy an ACTUAL plot hole. What the extended cut offered was more clarity for people who couldn’t follow the theatrical cut, and for those who were confused or maybe only watched the theatrical cut once, it may have seemed like magically the “plot holes” were being filled in when they could have been filled in all along by the audience members.
