Predictions About Suicide Squad Success

Jason Book and I discuss our anticipation of the Suicide Squad movie, directed by David Ayer, opening August 5th from Warner Brothers pictures. We also give our predictions of the opening week and long-term financial success of movie.

Since we recorded this video, the industry forecasts of Suicide Squad's opening weekend have increased to $115-125 Million domestic. That would shatter the August record! I am going to stand by my prediction that it opens above $100 Million in the U.S., and I'll also stand by my performance prediction of $724 Million worldwide.

Here were my box office predictions for 2016 overall.

Justice League Rebirth

Jason Book and I discuss the Justice League Rebirth issue by Bryan Hitch, published by DC Comics.

Overall, it was not a great issue but it does a fine job of setting up the new status quo and helping acclimate readers who may be joining in at this issue. The dynamic with the new (old) Superman was handled well.

Batman 2: Second Chapter of I Am Gotham

Jason Book and I discuss issue 2 of Batman (DC Comics), by Tom King and David Finch. This is part two of the "I Am Gotham" storyline in the Rebirth era of Batman.

Although this issue wasn't quite as awesome as issue 1, it is still a solid contribution to the new story and it gives some further information about Gotham and Gotham Girl while raising questions about Amanda Waller and Hugo Strange. The art was solid although not perfect.
